The Reception staff were friendly and attentive, showed us around the Hotel and answered any questions we had. The room was very spacious with a generous amount of tea, coffee etc. The décor was beautiful, and the bed was extra comfy and massive! We stayed in the Laburnum room which had a nice view of the surrounding Cotswolds. Couldn't fault the spa, extra relaxing. The dinner was delicious (we ate off the Market menu) and staff were attentive and polite. This is the best Hotel I have ever stayed at in the UK. Would love to come back!

The hotel was home to an excellent Italian restaurant. The ambiance of the hotel and restaurant fit in perfectly with our expectations of a small boutique inn of the Cotswolds. Wonderful antiques, creaky stairs and cozy rooms. We enjoyed a drink in the pub downstairs as well. And walking the quiet streets and alleyways of Burford was a wonderful experience in the evening. Scents of flowers in gardens and the sound of the church bells made it memorable. Definitely recommend this town and this hotel as a base for exploring the Cotswolds.

The staff was very welcoming, the accommodations very well done/comfortable, and the restaurant was terrific! The room is a good size with a very nice bath, and the rate included bottled water/tea/coffee in the room with many options for breakfast (anything from the menu). We highly recommend it and will return!

The hotel was recently updated; room was fresh, clean, quiet and well decorated. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. The hotel was well positioned in the center of town; the downside was no parking. Would say it was posh, by British standards.:) Street parking is free in the evening but the meter starts at 8:00 a.m. We had a ticket by 8:15:( Other than that, would stay there again for a weekend in the Cotswolds.

We really enjoyed our stay - it was a perfect base for exploring the Cotswolds for a few days and a relaxing hotel to return to at the end of the day. It didn’t seem too busy and wasn’t stressful in any way. We had a meal on the lawn every evening from the bar menu. My mother asked for a change of room to suit her needs more closely and they were able to accommodate her.
