The old town and new town square is a tourist trap, but one filled with incredibly interesting finds. Some things are very worth the price while others are questionable. A very scenic city in general. I enjoyed my stay very much.
Prague is a very welcoming city to those that are not as capable in the native languages. As they are more contemporary you can get just about any type of food you could ask for while you are there and we especially enjoyed locations like the Food Lab with their Gluten Free options that thrilled our celiac family member. The people are very welcoming and helpful to the tourist community. My only critique is that if you have to drive do not do it during rush hour as that was a stressful experience that the local population seems to take in stride. Take the bus or the tram and let them deal with that stress, not you.
We stayed for six nights in Prague but hardly enough to enjoy fraction of what Prague has to offer. Its highly active city that does not sleep or relax. You feel that going to the hotel to sleep you are leaving things around the corner you would want to see first. Its not boring city that for sure. Its amazingly clean and attractive. But our visit was marred by continuous rain for lengthy period of times daily even though our visit was on late May. But that did not stop tens of thousands of people congregate every corner of the city.
Wonderful city. Architecture, sights, food, amazing. If you love beer, you''ll be in heaven. If you don't love beer, you'll quickly learn to. Tour the beer museum. Public transportation is terrific and easy. Take the Funicular up to the palace on the Buda side for spectacular views of the river and Pest side. Make sure you have lots of storage space for photos- This is an extraordinarily photogenic city.
PRAQUE AND ITS HISTORY IS OUT OF THIS WORLD...TRANSPORT SYSTEM ONE OF THE BEST. FOUND THAT THE COST OF EVERY THING QUIET EXPENSIVE DUE TO OUR AILING ZAR SOUTH AFRICAN RANDS. ENGLISH IS LEAST SPOKEN THUS COMMUNICATING WAS DIFFICULT BUT THATS EXPECTABLE. BEING A CITIZEN OF SOUTH AFRICA THE FRIENDLIEST CITY...PRAQUE CITIZENS ARE VERY UNFRIENDLY. WIFE AND I HAD A NLAST WOW TIME..THE SUN SETS VERY LATE OF WHICH IS A BONUS FOR TRAVELLERS
We came to Prague in the first week of December and apart from city center square (old town) there was little to none Christmas vibe. We traveled from Wien to Prague and then to Budapest and all of my friends were more impressed by the other 2 cities. The streets were very crowded the staff at various restaurants were rude. I heard very good things about this city but all of them came here in summer time so i guess I'll have to come back again in the summer

First of all- the location. It’s less than 5 min walk from the Old Town Square. Our hotel “room” turned out to be an apartment (2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room and kitchen) and it was so spacious. A perfect heating system and easy to control. Every room had the perfect temperature. We had breakfast included and it’s served in another hotel, which is just next to it. The breakfast was super, with a great variety of foods. The staff is brilliant and they always try to be of help.

Great location. Easy to get to Prague Center by public transport. Left our car at the hotel and took the bus across the street to tram and tram to either the side of Prague castle or the old town square. Bought a 3 day pass for public transport at the cost of 26 euros for 2 people (converted from CK). The breakfast was plentiful, the bed comfortable. We had a small room the first night but we were transferred to a bigger room for the next 3 nights (their offer). Great value for the price.

The location was 1 1/2 blocks from the St Charles bridge and old town. The room was nicely unique with 12 foot ceilings and had a royal medieval feel to it and also felt like a luxury hotel with all the amenities. If you want a few days going back in time this is it. Breakfast had many diverse and very tasty offerings much to our delight. The staff was professional and courteous.
