Kiama is a beautiful place .The winery are great , the foods and the people are amazing. The driving and sight seeing the place are so relaxing the oceans and the mountains views are superb . The blowhole place is quite interesting waiting for the water to come out from the hole is so much fun .
We travelled to Kiama by train as the railway station is very close to CBD. Great choice of restaurants and cafes. Great walks around the harbour, beaches and the blowhole. All the public amenities were very clean.
I found Kiama to be a very clean and tidy town with friendly locals. I loved walking along the many paths provided for pedestrians as well as the uphill path along the edge of the cliff near the lighthouse where there were many benches available to sit and reflect. The view of the ocean below was spectacular. It was also humorous to observe tourists at the blowhole gasp and jump clear to avoid being wet when the noise and spray from the blowhole was at maximum capacity.
Kiama is a beautiful coastal town located approximately one and half hours from the south of Sydney. We have visited many times for many different events. Always love visiting the south coast and Kiama is a great base to explore from. Visit the Kiama blowhole, there is also a coastal walk to Gerringong (another lovely little coastal town) Minnamurra rainforest and beautiful beaches and wineries or shops and cinemas at Shellharbour, so the south coast covers many things to do to cover all ages and interests.

Own private beach, pool area looked good although it wasn’t heated and the weather wasn’t overly warm in September so we didn’t get to use it. The facilities for Kids was great though. Will definitely check out other Big 4 properties now that we have kids
